I dream of having a completely custom, fulfilling my every whim and desire sort of kitchen…someday. I like the style of old French-inspired countryside, farmhouse kitchen with worn-looking cabinets (shade of blue, perhaps) & large hinges. One of my favorite parts of the kitchen is a massive sink–apron front sinks are incredible and expensive.
I love the idea of an island being a center of the kitchen–especially if it has a butcher block counter top! My father’s party store has butcher block counters that have lasted him 25+ years…and are still going strong. I enjoy the rustic, unfinished look they have and their durability.
The walls would be lined with antique kitchen appliances/gadgets and pots/pans would hang from ceiling racks for easy access. I kind of despise having to reach into drawers to get them…
A double oven is a must. When you have to bake 1000 cookies, it’s just so necessary.
A professional-grade, gas range with something ridiculous like 12 burners would truly MAKE this kitchen. I could be making a bechamel, while blanching some tomatoes, canning peaches, stirring a soup and boiling some bagels AND still have room for a teapot. Yes, please.
Of course, this kitchen would take up 3/4 of the house and fit a mission-style wood table with 10 place settings. And a dog bed for Izze.
It’s fun to dream, of course. Do you have any far-fetched or totally unrealistic views on what your kitchen should be?

The third one is so perfect and my dream kitchen consists of an island with turquoise cabinets. Spacious and cozy at the same time
